Senigallia is an Italian city in Ancona Province, Marche Region with a population of approximately 45 thousand, the second largest after the Provincial capital; Senigallia is one of the most important tourist localities of Marche Region and attracts visitors from all over Italy and Europe thanks to its many attractions and famous “velvet” beaches. Since 1997 Senigallia has been awarded the Blue Flag every year by the FEE (Foundation for Environmental Education) which gives this award to localities that adhere to strict water quality standards, safety standards, environmental education and the provision of services. The Senigallia area is also the language border line of the Gaul-Italic dialects and the more strictly Italian dialects. |
